We are awaiting the Pasco County new arborist report that the commisioners ordered and are hoping for good news!
The County had then arborist report done early Aug on old #7 Live Oak tree on the historic Pasco County courthouse lawn, but has not released the findings of the report. The next Pasco County commission meeting is Tuesday Aug 19, 2025 at 10 AM in New Port Ritchie. We plan to be there to get answers. Commissioner Oakley, who is driving the tree removal said he could not speak on the tree 2 weeks ago because he had not read up on the tree. This was very disapointing to hear. The county has also turned down 3 interviews from the press. This silence is concerning and we are not getting the communication we were expecting.
If you would like a t-shirt to support the tree we have a website below. The shirts raise $6 each to support the tree. ALL profit made goes back to supporting the tree cause. Thank you all again for the support andkeep the calls/emails to the county commisioners. Bay News 9 (Calvin Lewis) did a great cover story today.
